This study aims to discern and quantify the personal labour market characteristics, which are most relevant persistence of a gender wage gap in Lithuania. The Oaxaca-Blinder model, employed this study, revealed largest explained be attributable characteristics occupation industry. These contribute mainly by horizontal vertical segregation effects, as women more concentrated typically ‘feminine’ jobs, pay less. educational attainment is slightly higher than that men, reduces Lithuanian market. analysis also work public sector entails an increase despite greater transparency regulated remuneration mechanism. due ‘glass ceiling’ effect or pervasive resistance efforts female workers reach top rank positions, we find stronger sector.
